never forget.

I love this. Not what happened. But the photo. The photograph in general. I really think photography was one of the best inventions in the world. It allows us to capture a memory forever. And when we see it, it swells up all those emotions we once felt. A photograph is more than a piece of special paper with colour on it, it’s part of someones life.

this photograph is absoutely stunning, and moving. all those people in that photograph will NEVER forget that moment. i myself still remember that moment. i was a first grader living in seattle at the time, and yet i can remember walking up stairs to ask my mom to braid my hair but instead of her helping, my parents were standing in front of the television watching the towers come down. i didn’t even know what the towers were. but moments like those don’t need a photograph to be remembered. which is why it is so foreign to me that kids my sister’s age and younger don’t fully understand the significance of photographs like this.
